Who was here before us?

The history of Wrong goes back a long long time. In many ways it is remarkably Earthlike. Nobody seems to find this terribly surprising - once life heads down the path of oxygen-using carbon metabolism, the options are relatively limited.
Like Earth, Wrong seems to be in a late interglacial. The  mainly warm and humid climate has left little recent fossil or archaeological record for us to investigate. Evidence in the karst country of the north tells us that there were tool-users on Wrong from at least 1 million years ago up until at least 10,000 years ago. Where they went after that we don't yet know.
I'm an archaeologist - it's my job to find out.
